Hasan Vs Goliath Announces Dirty Jazz V2
Expanding the fusion of jazzy hip hop, jazztronica, and easy listening
PRESS RELEASE
Today, Hasan Vs Goliath officially announces the forthcoming release of Dirty Jazz Volume Two — the highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s Dirty Jazz Volume One. Building on the project’s genre-defying debut, this next installment promises to push the fusion of jazzy hip hop, future jazz, and electronic (Jazztronica) textures even further into uncharted sonic territory.
Following the success of Volume One, which introduced soaring saxophones, pounding drums, and layered synth backdrops in a vivid, unpredictable soundscape, Dirty Jazz Volume Two expands the vision with rawer beats, bolder horn arrangements, and deeper experimentation. And a few guest appearances.
The Evolution
Dirty Jazz Volume One laid the foundation with tracks like “Descendants of Drum (DOD)”, featuring scratches by Canada's Chaps @chapsisrockinit, known for his work on UMFM 101.5 Winnipeg and CFCR's Third Verse. And “HipBop” bridging underground hip hop and traditional HardBop Jazz with modern jazztronica. The project combined turntables, programmed percussion, and instrumental interplay to create a fresh context for jazz in the digital space.
With Volume Two, Hasan Vs Goliath is set to raise the stakes — intensifying the collision of hip hop, lofi, soul, easy-listening and electronic fusion, while amplifying the smoky, late-night energy that defined the first record.
What to Expect
Raw and Sophisticated beats, soulful riffs, and layered textures
Explosive saxophone and trumpet leads over pounding drums and synths
Sultry techniques and complex percussion adding grit and depth
Jazzy Hip-Hop Nu Jazz, Jazztronica, and some guest appearances
An emotionally unpredictable soundscape designed for exploration
The Statement
Hasan Vs Goliath describes Dirty Jazz Volume Two as more than an album — it’s a statement on where jazz and hip hop can collide in today’s digital landscape. This project isn’t just about bending genres — it’s about dissolving them entirely, creating something immersive, raw, and emotionally charged.
